Millets grow as rain-fed crops in dry areas and are small-seeded and heavier. They have the capacity to cultivate under marginal soil fertility and moisture conditions. Millets are also an important ingredient of prehistoric diet in Indian, Chinese and Korean societies. Pearl millet
